  • The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Roshan Parasram, provided a clinical update on the status of Covid-19 in T&T.
    619 persons are being housed throughout the parallel health care system, the breakdown of the numbers are as follows:
    • UWI Debe/Penal Facility – 50 persons
    • Chancellor hotel – 22 persons
    • Tacarigua Facility – 0
    • NAPA Facility – 18 health care workers
    • Home of Football – 8 persons
    • Enchantment of the Seas – 295 persons
    • Sangre Grande- 24
    • UWI Canada Hall – 99 students
    • UWI Freedom Hall – 46 students
    • Kapok Hotel – 48 persons
    • Cascadia Hotel – 0
    • Caura Hospital – 6 patients

  • WHO/PAHO Representative to T&T, Dr. Erica Wheeler, gave her assurance that the Covid-19 virus has NOT mutated. She also indicated that there has been little difference observed in the severity of the virus and how it is transmitted among the different strains of Covid-19.
  • Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, when answering a question, stated that the repatriation of nationals is not limited by the number of quarantine spaces but rather the capacity of the public health system to deal with a worst case scenario.
